Music That Matters
Welcome

Welcome to MUSIC THAT MATTERS
Music That Matters is for teens (11-18) who want to use music to make a difference in their world.  During this two-week, day camp (with a few overnight options!), young musicians will learn how to write their own music, be part of a rock band, work with professional sound engineers to record their original music, be taught by instructors from all over the world, be part of a music video shoot, live performances, and so much more!  Most importantly, Music That Matters campers will be part of a supportive community of musicians who not only care about music but also care deeply about the world around them.

2011 MTM Camp started on June 27.  Do take a look around our site for updates on camp!

The video below is a news clip about Music That Matters Camp on Newton's NewTV, July 13, 2011.
Check out our final show in Newton Centre!

The songs you'll hear as you browse this site are original songs written, performed, and recorded by Music That Matters students during camp.  The three songs are by Music That Matters bands BroKin Pots, Hemiola, and Mehswigeh.
